Our Story
Pae Huarahi was first conceived in the 1990s, after visiting native American health services in South Dakota. Since then, with support from local iwi, we've researched and developed a whānau hauā response for improved healthcare. We didn't wait to be invited - we built our own solutions. Pae Huarahi is a practical, collective approach, grounded in the lived experience of disability and Te Ao Māori. Welcome to a whanau-designed initiative to support real change in hauora.
